1. What exactly is included in SilverWare POS and what are extra modules?
SilverWare POS has always distinguished itself by having more features included than most other POS solutions. Standard features include Table management, Staff Timekeeping, Labor Scheduling, Integrated GIFT Cards, Customer database, Coupon Generation and Tracking, and Delivery!
Other modules when required include; Bio Metric integration, Credit Card authorization, Inventory control, Hostess/Reservations and many interfaces to powerful software solutions.
2. Do I have to buy the hardware from you?
No. SilverWare POS is a true 32-bit windows application that runs on any windows PC. We would prefer to sell you the whole system, hardware and software, so that we know you could rely on the hardware to perform well and there is only 1 number to call for your SilverWare support. You may save a few dollars by purchasing your hardware separately, but can you rely on service when you need it should something happen during the middle of a busy weekend?
3. Is SilverWare so complicated that I will have to call you daily for support?
No. SilverWare POS has an intuitive graphical interface that many users find extremely easy to navigate. Adding a new menu item or changing a price takes mere minutes and can be done in the middle of a busy meal period. Train new servers in a half hour and let them practice in a "training mode". Reports are thorough and easy to see on screen until you find the exact one you want. SilverWare is a mature Windows POS (since 1994) so there is no typical windows errors that newer software might have.
4. How often do you update SilverWare POS?
The short answer is at least once a year. We constantly receive feedback and suggestions from thousands of customers. That means throughout the year SilverWare is constantly adding new features. Each year we release a newsletter that describes all the new features that SilverWare customers can take advantage of by an easy upgrade.
5. Why should I spend all that money for a Computerized POS? Isn't it just an expensive cash register?
Good question. A Computerized POS that only rings in your sales is simply an expensive cash register. A POS solution is a technology tool that a restaurant owner can use in many ways to improve his efficiency (reports, new staff training, menu analysis), his controls (voids, controls, integrated labor scheduling) service (table management, forced modifiers, menu item countdown and recipes at server fingertips) and marketing (reward programs, email marketing).
6. Why should I consider SilverWare?
While most POS products appear similar today, it's important to 'look under the hood'. You must be confident that a new system: 1) will satisfy your immediate requirements, 2) includes tools and features that will satisfy your future requirements, 3) is proven in thousands of establishments, because a restaurant environment is NOT a testing ground, and 4) is easy to use and manage because staff turnover is a way of life in the hospitality industry.
